The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate, Mid-Level, or Senior Systems Integration Engineer to join their 787 Systems Integration Engineering team in North Charleston, South Carolina. The Systems Integration Engineer will support the design, configuration, production, certification, and delivery of 787s, working with large-scale multisystem projects and collaborating with various teams to enhance the airplane's capabilities.

Responsibilities

Supports cross-functional teams through the development and integration of large-scale multi-system projects
Work with multiple airplane systems including Environmental Controls Systems, Mechanical Hydraulics, Flight Controls, Electrical Sub-Systems, Electrical Design and Standards, Flight Deck, Cabin Systems, Network Systems, Avionics Systems, and Cyber Security and will lead these teams through a variety of complex projects
Collaborate with airplane safety, regulatory administration, and various 787 program teams such as change management, supply chain, production engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations, and delivery centers
Implements systems engineering best practices, and process improvements
Working knowledge of the aircraft certification process
Able to lead by influence outside formal reporting relationships
Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse engineering team in order to synthesize complex information
Strong project management skills
Ability to communicate technical and project recommendations to executive management
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
This position is for first shift and 100% onsite

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher in an ABET accredited course of study in engineering, computer science or related field
2+ years of experience developing airplane systems or integrating complex systems
2+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams
Working knowledge of the aircraft certification process
Able to lead by influence outside formal reporting relationships
Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse engineering team in order to synthesize complex information
Strong project management skills
Ability to communicate technical and project recommendations to executive management
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
This position is for first shift and 100% onsite

Preferred

5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor's OR 3+ years with a Master's degree
2+ years in the Aerospace Industry experience
Experience working with and collaborating with executive leadership
Experience supporting production and factory
Experience supporting airline customers
