Development Technician 2 - Nevada Seismological Laboratory
The University of Nevada, Reno is a leading public research university and is recruiting for a Development Technician 2 for the Nevada Seismological Laboratory. The role involves training in building large-scale electronics circuits and power systems, maintaining and calibrating seismic and fire camera stations, and assisting with repairs of various seismological instruments.

Responsibilities
Maintaining and calibrating remote seismic and fire camera stations
Assisting with the repair and adjustment of IP microwave radios, power supplies/solar systems, data recording devices, and various other seismological instruments
Performing bench repairs, testing, modifications and adjustment of equipment
Assisting with the fabrication of electronic systems and assemblies
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field and one (1) year of experience in the fabrication, maintenance, calibration, repair and modification of a variety of electrical, mechanical and/or computerized equipment and computer systems
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in electronics or related field and two (2) years of experience in the fabrication, maintenance, calibration, repair and modification of a variety of electrical, mechanical and/or computerized equipment and computer systems
An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above
This position requires driving; a driver's license is a condition of employment
