Responsibilities
Own SAP Retail Solution Architecture
Design end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Retail architectures across merchandising, pricing & promotions, procurement, inventory, logistics, finance, and supply chain
Lead Fit-to-Standard & Design Workshops
Translate business requirements into SAP-aligned solutions using S/4HANA Best Practices
Minimize customization and promote Clean Core principles
Architect Integrated Landscapes
Define and govern integrations between SAP S/4HANA and external systems, including POS, e-commerce platforms, OMS, vendor portals, 3PLs, and data platforms
Drive SAP BTP & Extensibility Strategy
Design and guide the use of SAP BTP for extensions, integrations, automation, analytics, and innovation
Leverage APIs, events, and cloud-native services
Enable AI & Intelligent Automation
Advise on SAP Business AI use cases for retail, such as pricing optimisation, demand forecasting, supply chain intelligence, and process automation
Ensure AI capabilities are thoughtfully integrated into the SAP landscape
Provide Delivery & Governance Leadership
Ensure architectural consistency across programs
Review key design artefacts and guide teams through SAP Activate delivery phases
Partner with Clients & Internal Teams
Collaborate with executives, business stakeholders, delivery leads, and cross-functional SAP consultants across geographies
Qualification
Required
7+ years of SAP experience with strong retail domain expertise
3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA
At least one full SAP S/4HANA Retail implementation as a Solution Architect or Integration Lead
Deep understanding of retail processes, including merchandising, pricing & promotions, procurement, inventory management, logistics, and financial integration
Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture, Fiori, RICEFW governance, and enterprise integration patterns
Hands-on experience with SAP BTP (integration, extensions, automation, analytics)
Solid understanding of SAP integration technologies, including CPI, APIs, IDocs, and event-driven architectures
Familiarity with SAP Business AI, intelligent automation, and analytics capabilities
Proven experience designing solutions aligned with Clean Core principles
Ability to 'paint the big picture' while balancing business needs with SAP best practices
Strong executive communication skills with the ability to translate complex architectures into business-friendly language
Experience leading workshops, design sessions, and architecture governance forums
Comfortable working in agile and hybrid delivery models using SAP Activate
