Responsibilities

Assist with event planning tasks, including logistics, participant outreach, donor stewardship, and day‑of‑event coordination
Support recruitment and engagement of corporate teams, community groups, and volunteers
Contribute to marketing and communications efforts, including drafting social media content, email copy, website updates, and promotional materials
Help manage social media calendars and track engagement metrics to support growth strategies
Conduct local market research to identify potential partners, audiences, and storytelling opportunities
Gather and organize participant stories, photos, and testimonials for use in promotional campaigns
Provide administrative support such as database updates, tracking registrations, and preparing event materials

Required

Candidates who are seniors or graduate students pursuing a degree in business, communications, public relations, nonprofit fundraising, or event management
Experience/interest in nonprofit development, public health, marketing, or event management
Demonstrated excellence in written communication skills
Demonstrated skills in effective one-on-one and group communications and comfort with working professionally with all levels of community leaders, volunteers, and staff
Effective oral and presentation communication skills
Proficient in multiple social media platforms
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities involving multiple entities
Intermediate to excellent proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Basic knowledge of Canva
Required Equipment: Reliable WiFi Connection and reliable transportation
Minimum availability of 20 hrs/wk, M-F between the hours of 8:30am-5pm
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future
