Environmental Planner
Nelson Pope Voorhis (NPV) is an environmental planning firm seeking a qualified Environmental Planner / Scientist to work in their Melville, New York office. The role involves preparation of Environmental Impact Statements and compliance with various environmental regulations, including SEQRA, CEQR, and NEPA.
Responsibilities
Preparation of SEQRA, NEPA, CEQR documents
Central pine barrens applications
Land use applications
Long-range scientific studies (watershed, invasive species management, etc)
Review land development site plans & special use permits
SEQRA compliance
Planning/zoning studies
Management of staff and training staff, where applicable
Working with clients and review agencies
Attend meetings and provide expert testimony at public hearings
Report preparation
Microsoft office
Competent writing, research and analytical skills
Good verbal communication, written communication, and organizational skills
Qualification
