Electronics Integrated Systems Mechanic Leader

Air Force Civilian Service is seeking civilian professionals prepared to deploy war-winning capabilities on behalf of the United States Air Force. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a work leader, providing training and performing repair, modification, and overhaul of avionics systems.

Responsibilities

Serve as a work leader, providing training, certification and knowledge of Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic
Work directly with journeymen and non-journeymen performing all tasks assigned to avionics mechanics
Perform repair, modification and overhaul of avionics systems
Lead a team of trades and/or labor workers and provide guidance and instructions to others
Perform nonsupervisory trades and/or labor work that is usually of the same kind and level as members of the work crew led
Set up and operate software controlled automated test stations to run established and new diagnostic programs in various test modes to test and troubleshoot multi-system complexes
Maintain inspections and maintenance records
Utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment

Required

Working knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of trade(s) and/or craft(s)
Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures
Knowledge of the use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and equipment common to trades and labor work performed by the group being led
Skill in performing the trade and /or labor work of the group being led
Ability to lead a team of three or more labor or trade employees
Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission
This is a designated Drug Testing Position
Employee must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance as a condition of employment
U.S. citizenship required
Must be of legal working age
