The role involves supporting the Operations team while learning about the organization, performing tasks such as member service, data entry, reconciliation, and auditing.

Responsibilities
Assist with data entry, reconciliation, auditing and various financial-related tasks
Work with credit union members or prospective members performing various tasks as needed
Gain exposure to credit union operations, job duties and engage in cross-training where appropriate
Comply with all state, federal regulations, company policies and procedures
Maintain members’ confidentiality
Develop an understanding of credit union history, philosophy, organization, bylaws, and operational procedures
Actively support our sales and service culture and demonstrate these skills by communicating to members the benefits and features of all our products and services
Organize, plan and prioritize work within a team atmosphere
Expect and embrace change by being flexible and adaptable
Meet performance objectives and expectations (i.e. sales, quality service and reliability)
Complete in-house training based on required classes for this position
Assist in any area as directed by management
Qualification
Required
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program related to accounting, finance, business, banking or related field
Some coursework in accounting, finance, banking or a related field required
Demonstrated ability to understand and apply basic accounting and/or finance/business principles
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Must have excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
Professional interpersonal skills required
