Systems Administrator Senior

They are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to provide technical and management leadership for systems administration strategies in support of secure, real-time data delivery for national security operations.

Responsibilities
Serves as a lead technical expert in designing, implementing, and optimizing systems administration strategies for complex C2ISR Data Transport Infrastructure technological platforms
Support of GLOBAL INFRASTRUCTURE Primary transport and dissemination systems including DDS, B1DDS, B2TR, B3IGS
Support of Cloud infrastructure including GC2, mC2, Joint Cloud with DAF CLOUDworks
Support of Operations and Management systems including ServiceNow, CDS, CAAP
Support of Network Infrastructure including RGEPs, IGEPs, MGEP, ground terminals and gateways
Support of Multiple network domains (e.g., Commercial, NIPR (CUI), SIPR, JWICS)
Leads the development and enforcement of integrated strategies for advanced network configuration management, robust performance monitoring, and strategic technological resource optimization across global platforms, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
Implements, and oversees systematic monitoring protocols for all technological systems, network components, and user access management, integrating SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) platforms and automating alert responses for compliance, scalability, and efficiency
Manages comprehensive user access management frameworks for diverse environments, including single sign-on (SSO), federation services, certificate management (PKI), and advanced RBAC across Windows, Linux, and specialized C2ISR applications
Directs the coordination of ASIs and advanced troubleshooting efforts for critical system and network components, establishing problem management processes, leading root cause analysis for major incidents, and implementing proactive fixes (e.g., script-based auto-remediation)
Provides expert guidance and recommendations on optimizing system configurations, hardening operating systems and applications (e.g., DISA STIGs), enhancing security posture, and improving overall operational efficiency of C2ISR global transport infrastructure through advanced scripting (e.g., Python, Go) and automation
Functions as a technical expert across multiple high-impact systems administration assignments, guiding junior and journeyman administrators, and contributing to strategic platform evolution and capacity planning for mission-critical services
Utilize the following Role Specific Tools: Operating system administration tools (Windows Admin Center, Linux shell utilities); virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper V); Active Directory and LDAP; Service Desk ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy); remote desktop support tools (Microsoft Remote Desktop, TeamViewer); backup and disaster recovery platforms (Veeam, Commvault); SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight, QRadar); network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG); configuration management databases (CMDB); documentation templates for compliance and reporting; endpoint security tools (McAfee, Symantec, CrowdStrike)
Qualification
Required
Previous experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role supporting a DoD customer at the CCMD level
Minimum of 6 years' experience with a BS/BA or 4 years' experience with an MS/MA or 2 years' experience with a PhD. or 10 years' years without a degree or 8 years' with AS/AA degree
A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level
US citizenship is required
DoD 8140 role for WRC: 451; Element: IT; Work Role: System Administrator; Proficiency Level: Intermediate / Ability to obtain
Preferred
DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment
Minimum of 8 years' experience with a BS/BA or 6 years' experience with an MS/MA or 3 years' experience with a PhD. or 12 years' years without a degree or 10 years' with AS/AA degree
