Columbia Bank is offering a summer internship program that provides students with hands-on experience and professional development opportunities. The intern will work with the Compliance Team to analyze various data points and contribute to projects that ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Analyze employee volunteer hours, bank grants, donations, and community development loans for CRA credit eligibility

Analyze HMDA reportable applications and various data points

Examine community benefit agreements and customer comments to determine inclusion in Columbia’s CRA Public File

Explore the role of PowerBI to report and interpret Columbia’s compliance with CRA and HMDA regulations to key stakeholders

Qualification

Required

Undergraduate student aiming to graduate in spring 2026/2027 or a recent graduate within the last year

Available to work full-time (40 hours/week), fully onsite, for 10 weeks starting in June

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

Excellent interpersonal skills

Preferred

Degree in Economics, Political Science, or Anthropology

Skillset will consist of Microsoft Office products
