Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs and policies that comply with OSHA and other local, state, and federal safety regulations
Conduct safety training sessions and onboarding for new hires, with a strong focus on night shift readiness
Lead and support safety incident investigations and follow through on corrective actions
Conduct regular safety audits and walkthroughs across all shifts, including nights, to identify risks and ensure protocol adherence
Manage and track PPE usage, safety equipment, and compliance across the site
Lead emergency response initiatives, including planning and drills
Serve as a key point of contact for all employees regarding safety concerns, including during overnight hours
Design and deliver engaging safety training programs tailored to different shifts and learning styles
Partner with supervisors and frontline employees to reinforce safe behaviors through coaching and real-time feedback
Support safety engagement initiatives and contribute to fostering a strong culture of accountability and care
Qualification
Required
Associate degree or certification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
Solid experience in safety roles within manufacturing or industrial settings
Proven experience leading or delivering safety training programs
Willingness and availability to work flexible hours, including early morning or overnight shifts as needed
In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and best practices in workplace safety
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to connect with employees at all levels and across all shifts
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with safety tracking systems is a plus
Proactive mindset, strong sense of ownership, and ability to work independently
