Responsibilities
Ensure project documents are accurately prepared
Ensure work product is checked/approved by a senior engineer or discipline lead
Ensure work product meets project requirements/goals
Ensure work is completed on or before scheduled milestones including coordination and approvals
Ensure work is completed within assigned budgets
Relay apparent training needs to department head
Understand how to use standard software programs
Attention to detail
Ensure design components meet industry standard
Client interaction
Budget development
Project development
Mentor associate engineers and designers
Qualification
Required
7-10 years of commercial and industrial project experience as a Professional Engineer
7-10 years of experience as a Structural Engineer in a manufacturing and/or heavy commercial industry
Experience preparing complex engineering calculations and designs for 'Brown Field' projects
Experience performing in-field inspections
Good written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with applicable Building Codes (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC)
Proficient with AutoCAD and Excel
Preferred
Knowledge of Building Information Modeling utilizing REVIT
