Responsibilities
Develop shop drawings and Fabrication sheets for its Design, Engineering & Fabrication Department
This position is part of a team responsible for the design, engineering, manufacture, and technical support of numerous exterior cladding products
Responsible for providing an advanced level of knowledge of AutoCAD and preferably some 3D drawing development skills
Qualification
Required
Must be proficient with Autodesk AutoCAD drafting software (minimum 2 years of AutoCAD drafting experience) and be able to use major functions (e.g. X-Ref's, blocks, dynamic blocks, and sheet set manager)
Strong communication skills
Must have the ability to read and interpret architectural plans, structural plans, and specifications
Experience in navigating and developing 3D models
Bright, motivated, detail-oriented, and has a strong work ethic
Additionally, he/she must have strong communication skills and be able to interact professionally with all levels within the organization, as well as the ability to understand and learn the company drafting and fabrication standards as outlined within the department procedures
Must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts, takeoffs, square footage determinations, arc lengths, and chords
Must be familiar with MS Office and have above-average knowledge in Excel
Preferred
College experience in engineering or construction management
Formal classroom training in the use of AutoCAD and 3D modeling software
