They are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer who will engage directly with clients to solve unique technical challenges, design custom solutions, and ensure successful implementation of AI systems.

Responsibilities
Work directly with Fortune 500 clients to understand their technical challenges and business objectives, translating ambiguous problems into structured technical approaches
Design custom solutions that integrate with clients' existing systems, workflows, and constraints
Serve as the technical authority clients trust to deliver working solutions
Build and deploy production AI systems, including LLM-based applications, guardrails, and evaluation frameworks
Design evaluation systems to measure performance, detect drift, and validate model behavior
Take ownership of technical decisions, architecture, and code quality throughout the delivery lifecycle
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Collaborate with internal teams to surface insights that improve our product and delivery approach
Qualification
Required
Ability to turn ambiguous problems into structured experiments: breaking down hazy requirements, identifying what to measure, iterating toward solutions
2+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in production environments
Strong programming skills in at least one of: Python, Rust, or Java
Experience with AI systems, particularly generative AI and LLMs
Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, system design, testing
Prior experience working directly with clients or external stakeholders in a technical capacity
Demonstrated ownership mentality: seeing projects through from conception to delivery, taking responsibility for outcomes
Product-minded thinking: understanding user needs and translating them into clean technical abstractions
Strong communication skills: explaining technical concepts clearly, writing documentation, presenting to diverse audiences
Proven ability to learn quickly: picking up new technologies, domains, and frameworks as needed
Comfort with ambiguity and self-directed problem solving
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field (exceptional candidates with equivalent demonstrated experience will be considered)
Preferred
Building backend services at scale: APIs, microservices, distributed systems
Data engineering: pipelines, feature stores, ETL processes
System reliability: queues, caching, fault tolerance, error handling
Understanding of fundamental data science and ML concepts: statistical analysis, model evaluation, experimentation
Building multi-agent systems: agent communication, delegation, orchestration
LLM application development: prompt engineering, tool design, context management
AI safety & guardrails: content filtering, bias mitigation, output validation
Container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK), observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog)
