The Loan Officer Assistant will provide essential support to a top producing loan officer throughout the mortgage loan process, ensuring smooth operations from application to closing while maintaining excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
Assist the Loan Officer with reviewing loan applications in a timely manner for accuracy & to ensure all sections are complete
Create initial needs list for borrower documents; Send to loan officer to review and approve
Prepare all files to be submitted to underwriting including TBD loans for pre-approvals and purchases/refinances
Complete income calculations, order automated WVOEs, request manual WVOEs and obtain AUS findings on every file
Assist with broker loan file setups and registrations with TPO partners
Monitor TBD and active pipelines and provide critical updates to assigned team members
Attend weekly pipeline calls with loan officer(s) and processor(s)
Attend monthly Sales & Operations trainings to stay up to date on internal & external products and processes
Participate in monthly LOA meetings for collaboration & team building opportunities
Understand and follow company compliance policies and industry regulations
Become proficient with RWM’s internal workflow, technology, & loan process
Learn & understand basic conventional, FHA, VA and non-agency guidelines for qualification purposes
Qualification
Required
1+ year experience in a Mortgage Support role (loan assistant, loan processor, loan partner)
Basic foundational knowledge of conventional, FHA, jumbo and nonQM products

Preferred
Active NMLS License is a plus
Familiar with Encompass, Total Expert, Mortgage Coach, nCino/Simple Nexus is a plus
