The role involves hands-on development and support for the commissions system, working closely with various internal business teams to ensure the performance and scalability of applications.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications supporting commissions, rating, and sales systems
Serve as the primary developer and support resource for the commissions platform (SAP/APM – external vendor tool)
Configure and support business rules, calculations, file-based integrations, and APIs
Perform hands-on development, troubleshooting, and production support, including enhancement requests and defect resolution
Support user access issues, data issues, and operational tickets via ticketing systems
Develop and maintain SSIS-based ETL solutions (major upcoming projects)
Work closely with other SSIS SMEs on large-scale data integration initiatives
Support integrations into Dynamics 365, underwriting/rating tools (e.g., Infocus), and other enterprise systems
Leverage ADF, APIs, and file-based integrations to support downstream systems
Partner with Business Analysts and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
Create technical designs, documentation, and implementation artifacts
Participate in Agile and DevOps practices to deliver high-quality solutions on time
Ensure performance, scalability, security, and maintainability of applications
Balance work across multiple applications while meeting delivery deadlines
Qualification
Required
3–5+ years of professional software development experience
Strong experience with SSIS and data integration development
Hands-on experience supporting production systems, including troubleshooting and enhancements
Experience working with APIs and external vendor systems
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience supporting commissions or incentive systems
Exposure to healthcare or health insurance systems (nice to have, not required)
Familiarity with SAP/APM, underwriting, or rating platforms
