Life Cycle Engineer – Naval Services – GT Modules
Rolls-Royce is looking for a Life Cycle Engineer to join their growing team. This role is responsible for leading engineering investigations, resolving customer technical issues, and supporting the development of technical publications for naval marine gas turbine engines.

Responsibilities
Manage and execute Root Cause Analysis of Engineering Investigations
Creation of high-quality technical engineering reports
Creation and delivery of effective customer presentations within the Safety Process framework
Acting point of contact for both external customers and internal RR field service teams on technical issues, including occasional off-hour support and travel
Develop Service Bulletins and Technical Publication updates as required, or serve as peer reviewer for others on the team
Support in-service customer program reviews, and/or technical integration meetings
Identify and execute improvements to process, tools, and methods for Service Engineering to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Liaise with the Engineering Leadership and System Design Engineer(s) to drive design improvements from issues or opportunities identified from in-service experience
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree in Engineering and 2+ years experience, or
Masters Degree in Engineering, or
JD/PhD
Engineering experience in the area(s) of gas turbine, industrial, or marine machinery accessory systems (such as fuel, lubrication, fire suppression, cooling water, ventilation, support structures, electrical, control, etc.)
Must be US Citizen to be considered for this role
Preferred
Experience or familiarity with US Naval Surface Ship Gas Turbine Modules (Ship Service Gas Turbine Generator Sets and Propulsion Gas Turbines)
Experience in the marine industry, covering technical support, technical documentation, problem-solving, Naval standards, and Mil-Specifications
Experience with electrical power generation equipment
Self-motivated, confident individual with strong interpersonal, written and oral communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail
Ability to make well-informed, rational decisions and demonstrate problem-solving skills within organizational policies and procedures
Willingness to travel infrequently on a scheduled and unscheduled basis
Comfortable working periodically in an industrial, shipyard, or shipboard environment
