Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance to sales/customers with respect to the use of Samson products and participate as technical representative in alliance partnerships
Work in conjunction with Sales, Market Strategy Managers, and R&D to find new applications for Samson products or to develop new specifications for new products
Ensure that Samson products comply with or exceed all appropriate Federal, State and other governing bodies’ specifications and/or regulations
Gather technical data from customers and assist in the design of their particular systems or provide solutions in accordance with the data. Qualify, institute, and report the inspection and/or testing of product as requested by customers
Assist in the development of technical papers and articles for publication and/or presentation on behalf of the company’s technology and associated applications
Provide technical training on products, applications and terminations to company personnel, customers and others as required
Participate in sales calls with RSM's as needed
Serve as technical Subject Matter Expert in assigned industries through participation in market strategy efforts as well as support of related opportunities, initiatives, and development projects
Manage projects as assigned
Continuously learn and educate yourself regarding industrial knowledge, Samson products, and best practices
Participate in and support Lean initiatives and activities

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
Internship experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment working in engineering
Comfortable working independently under minimum supervision
Analytical and quantitatively minded
Able to communicate technical requirements, questions, and solutions clearly with cross-functional teams
A team player who enjoys building relationships at all levels within our diverse organization
Excellent at customer service for both colleagues and customers
A clear communicator, in both oral and written forms
An advanced computer user with skills including use of Microsoft Office, CAD (SolidWorks), Advanced Statistical software (JMP), and able to learn new programs
Deadline oriented with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Trustworthy and capable of handling confidential and sensitive information
Able to travel up to 30% of the time

Preferred

2+ years of engineering experience in a direct customer support role in a manufacturing/industrial environment
