Responsibilities
Implement Data Governance Framework with effective use of Data Catalog, Data Quality and Reference Data Management tooling
Build automations of interfaces around the Data Catalog, Data Quality and Reference Data Management tooling and reporting
Support Data Product Developers on effective use of the technology solutions with standardized and performance optimized coding and other best practices around effective business outcomes using data catalog and other mechanisms
Support adoption of Data Governance by interfacing with stakeholders in technology as well as business roles
Support Business roles in achieving the business outcomes by adoption of the data governance framework and tools, policies, standards and procedures
Drive operational excellence, including but not limited to Incident Management, process automation leveraging AI, and ensuring smooth deployments for your technology products/platform features
Recommend and implement improvements to departmental processes to enhance agility and efficiency
Enhance the reliability, scalability, and utilization of systems and applications through continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
Monitor and manage software configuration changes to anticipate and address data reliability and customer satisfaction issues, leveraging cloud monitoring tools and practices
Be self-directed, work with limited management direction and exercise considerable latitude in determining the technical objectives of the assignment
Qualification
Required
Requires Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Required a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Proven hands-on experience in the design, coding, integration, and deployment of software on Microsoft Windows, Linux or Container based Server platforms
Understanding of the Data Governance concepts and approaches for effective organizational outcomes
Hands on experience in implementing and supporting Data Catalog, Data Quality and Reference Data Management using some Data Governance tool
Strong scripting and automation skills using tools such as Python, Java, SQL, Groovy and PowerShell and Shell Scripts
Experience in using Data Management and analytics tools like Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, Synapse, Databricks and Tableau
Familiarity with security concepts around encryption, key management, authentication, authorization management, vulnerability management, LDAP and SSO
Experience in performance optimization of SQL and scripting code in various settings
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions) and Infrastructure as Code tools like Ansible to automate cloud deployments
Working knowledge of deploying and managing applications using containerization (Docker) in cloud environments like Azure, AWS, or GCP
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, service-oriented architecture, and enterprise cloud integration, preferably with experience in Microsoft Azure and virtualization platforms such as Citrix
Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams, with excellent verbal and written communication skills to translate and execute technical deliverable
Strong process orientation with the ability to follow and improve procedures for critical maintenance and operational tasks
