US Controller
Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division is seeking a US Controller to lead their accounting operations across the United States. The role involves overseeing financial close, reporting, compliance, and managing a team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in accounting processes.

Responsibilities
Lead all US accounting operations for the Autonomous Solutions Business Area, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and intercompany activities
Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for US entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting into Hexagon Group systems
Ensure all journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments are completed and reviewed in accordance with Group timelines and quality standards
Oversee intercompany accounting, settlement, and issue resolution with both US and international Hexagon entities
Produce accurate IFRS-based financial reporting for all US entities and ensure alignment with Hexagon Group reporting requirements
Lead preparation for internal and external audits, coordinating with Hexagon Group Audit, local auditors, and Business Area leadership
Ensure tax compliance through partnership with external advisors and Hexagon Group Tax, including federal, state, and local filings, sales tax, property tax, and other regional requirements
Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures. Strengthen controls and documentation where needed
Lead, develop, and mentor a team of 4 direct reports and 11 total team members across different US locations
Set performance expectations, provide coaching, and drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Build team capability through training, cross-training, and developing future leaders
Oversee accounting processes within SAP and ensure stable, efficient, and well-controlled workflows
Leverage data accuracy and system capabilities for reporting and compliance
Work with IT and finance teams to support enhancements and integrations across SAP and Infor SyteLine when applicable
Identify process improvement opportunities and drive standardization across US accounting operations
Serve as the primary accounting contact for US entity leaders and collaborate closely with FP&A, Group Finance, internal controls, and the global Business Area finance organization
Support business initiatives, investments, contracts, and operational decisions with clear accounting guidance
Provide insights on financial results and variances to Business Area leadership
Qualification
Required
CPA required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role
Strong technical accounting knowledge under IFRS
Experience working in multinational, multi-entity organizations
Strong ERP experience with SAP required
Demonstrated success leading distributed accounting teams
Advanced skills in Excel and working knowledge of financial systems and consolidation processes
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred
Experience with Infor SyteLine preferred
Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred
Experience supporting both IFRS and US GAAP differences
Experience with acquisition integration, system migrations, or process transformation initiatives
Experience working within a matrixed global organization
