Responsibilities

Leading engineering projects through investigation, scope, design, and implementation phases to provide safety and capacity improvements
Providing support to engineers in executing plant trials and production/maintenance troubleshooting
Comply with all company policies including, but not limited to: Quality, Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, GMPs, Dietary Supplements, and HACCP-HARPC
Adhere to all quality systems including ISO 22000 Food Safety, FAMI-QS and NSF Dietary Supplements with an understanding of IFF Corporate Quality policies and procedures
Ability to work safely and comply with all corporate/site EHS guidelines and policies

Required

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related disciplines
Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to work and complete projects independently, as well as within a team environment
Basic understanding of microbiological concepts and assays
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
Ability to read and understand Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
Problem solving and critical thinking
Data analysis and visualization
Project leadership
Process Hazard Analysis and Process Safety Management
Communicating effectively and interacting with people of different background
Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the Spring and Summer semester of 2026 (will also consider Summer-only 2026)
Ability to work safely and comply with all corporate/site EHS guidelines and policies

Preferred

3.0 GPA or Higher
Outstanding problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills
Strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams to deliver concrete project deliverables in a timely manner
