Bilingual Receptionist

Metrolina Association for the Blind has been providing services to and empowering people with blindness and visual impairment since 1934. They are hiring a full-time bilingual receptionist who is flexible, adaptable, and has good people/customer service skills to provide vision rehabilitation services to the dynamic Charlotte community.

Responsibilities

Screen all visitors via the video and intercom systems prior to entering the building and follow all security measures with check-in process
Sign for all special deliveries and follow the procedures for mail delivery, USPS included
Obtains caller’s name and takes message or arranges for appointment with person called upon
Directs caller to destination, and records name, time of call, nature of business, and person called upon as required
Operates telephone console to receive incoming messages
Types memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents
Works well with a diverse community
Translate for staff as needed
Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Bilingual - Spanish/EnglishCustomer service skillsHigh School DiplomaFlexibilityAdaptability

Required

High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED, Hi-Set, etc.) and related experience
Pass a background screening, drug screening and credit check
Bilingual- Spanish and English

Preferred

Bachelor's degree (not required, but preferred)
