Senior Data Analyst - Marketing & Funnel Analytics
Drake Software is seeking a Senior Data Analyst who will serve as a strategic thought partner to Marketing, Sales, and Product leaders. The role involves performing deep, exploratory analysis to translate complex data into actionable insights, guiding business partners toward data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities
Lead deep, exploratory analyses across customer behavior, funnel performance, retention, and revenue growth to uncover root causes, friction points, and opportunities
Own end-to-end analytical deep dives, from ambiguous business questions to final recommendations, including data exploration, hypothesis testing, and synthesis
Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, and Product leaders to clarify loosely defined questions and translate them into structured analytical approaches
Perform advanced SQL analysis across large, multi-source datasets, including investigating anomalies, validating assumptions, and identifying trends not visible in standard reporting
Analyze the full customer journey (impression to click to landing to start to conversion), identifying drop-offs and explaining why they occur
Evaluate performance across Paid Search, Paid Social, Organic Search, Organic Social, Email, Events, and Direct Mail, with an emphasis on conversion efficiency and ROI
Design Tableau dashboards that emphasize narrative clarity and decision support, tailored to senior and executive audiences
Synthesize findings into clear recommendations, outlining implications, tradeoffs, and next steps for business partners
Present insights to senior and executive stakeholders, influencing marketing and product decisions through data-backed storytelling
Qualification
Required
6+ years of hands-on experience as a data analyst supporting business decision-making in a B2C software, SaaS, or digital product environment
Demonstrated experience leading independent analytical deep dives, not just maintaining dashboards or recurring reports
Advanced SQL skills with a strong track record of exploratory, ad-hoc analysis beyond standard KPI reporting
Strong Tableau experience focused on insight storytelling, prioritization, and executive-facing communication
Proven ability to move from 'what happened' to 'why it happened' and translate findings into actionable recommendations
Experience analyzing marketing funnels and customer journeys across multiple channels including paid, organic, web, email, and events
Experience working with CRM, marketing, and web analytics data sources such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, and Google Analytics
Strong communication skills with demonstrated experience advising senior stakeholders using data
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and own analysis end-to-end from intake through final recommendation
Preferred
Experience with attribution models and performance marketing analytics such as ROAS, CAC, and conversion efficiency
Comfort working with raw, imperfect data and forming hypotheses before answers are obvious
