Field Automation Technician

They are seeking a Field Automation Technician to maintain and optimize advanced electromechanical and robotic equipment at customer sites nationwide, involving frequent travel and hands-on work with innovative automation systems.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair electromechanical packaging equipment, robotic systems, compressors, and related automation hardware
Support the deployment, setup, and commissioning of new mobile automation units
Perform equipment changeovers and preventative maintenance
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
Work with engineering and operations teams to improve performance and uptime
Follow preventive maintenance schedules and document work in the CMMS system
Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Required

2+ years' experience as a plant mechanic, automation technician, or field service engineer
Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with electrical troubleshooting
Comfortable working with robotics, PLCs, factory automation equipment, Automated Machinery or similar
Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 90–100% across the U.S. Proximity to a major airport would be handy
Proficient with hand tools and computer-based maintenance systems
Self-starter with a sense of urgency, ownership, and attention to detail
