International Program Manager II

Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee cultural and educational programming, including events for international students and scholars and the International Mentorship and International Friendship Programs
Conceptualize and develop special events and activities for international students and scholars with partners across campus and in the community such as International Education Week
Coordinate and supervise all event details, from marketing through to follow-up, including coordinating and supervising event set-up, special events, meetings, vendor coordination, room reservation, and audio visual equipment for various types of events
Manage event budget and oversee staffing and volunteer support of events
Draft event communications for the International Student & Scholar Services Office, including advertising, marketing, and publicity materials, as well as follow up communications, relying on both traditional and social media tools
Monitor and coordinate event registration and serve as the primary contact for event information and requests for events facilitated by the ISSSO
Serve as an advisor to the International Student Organization and assist with the onboarding and integration of new international students
Establish and maintain relationships with faculty and staff across all colleges, acting as a programmatic liaison to develop and sustain programming initiatives
Work closely with departments, student organizations, and community partners to enhance intercultural engagement and provide comprehensive support services
Support assessment, reporting, and continuous improvement of international programming and initiatives
Represent ISSSO on university committees related to student belonging, engagement, and global initiatives
Occasionally provide support for evening and/or weekend programming as needed
Oversee ISSSO’s social media accounts and digital presence, including managing content strategy and supervising student content creators
Prepare and present analytical and statistical reports for leadership
Engage in formal and informal outreach activities on behalf of the International Student & Scholar Services Office

Required

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline
Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed
Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience
