3+ years expThe University of Toledo is seeking a Project Manager with expertise in front-end web development to oversee the external-facing websites, third-party web applications and other web solutions in support of the Office of University Marketing and Communication’s efforts to advance the institution’s brand and support strategic priorities. This role requires a strong understanding of web standards and best practices as well as skills in building and managing assets in a content management system, web architecture, user experience, search engine optimization, ADA compliance and browser compatibility resolutions.

Responsibilities
Oversees the front-end web development for external-facing University websites that are managed by the Office of University Marketing and Communications
Manages third-party web applications that support University websites
Advances the UToledo brand and supports institutional goals
Requires a strong understanding of web standards and best practices
Skills in building and managing assets in a content management system
Web architecture
Search engine optimization

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, marketing, communications, business or related field
3-5 years of professional experience in managing websites, including leadership in web coding, site architecture, and web and brand compliance to create and maintain an engaging website experience for strategic audiences
A strong portfolio of work that demonstrates a technical skill and a passion for developing responsive, mobile-friendly, accessible (WCAG), search engine optimization and cross-browser compatible websites and digital solutions
Proficiency in HTML coding, CSS, JavaScript, Adobe CC, Microsoft Office and the willingness to explore new tools
Experience in using and interpreting Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and tools to track and measure web experience to drive improvements in front-end performance
A combination of strong conceptual thinking and strategic skills with an ability to understand customer needs, motivations and behaviors, and translate them into actionable deliverables
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
Resourceful self-starter who can work independently and translate feedback and direction into successful solutions in a timely manner
A high degree of professionalism and strong work ethic coupled with a sense of responsibility, ability to work well with others and integrity
Ability to work under minimal supervision, tight time constraints and periodic high-volume circumstances
Preferred
Experience with content management systems preferred
