Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain a robust mortgage quality control (QC) program
Conduct regular reviews and audits of mortgage files to ensure compliance with internal policies, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements
Identify trends, root causes, and areas for process improvement
Prepare and present detailed QC reports to senior management, highlighting findings, risks, and recommendations
Manage monthly and quarterly HMDA processes in accordance with regulatory requirements
Manage investor repurchase demands for loan origination files
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QC analysts and auditors
Provide ongoing training and guidance to ensure team members are up to date with regulatory changes and internal procedures
Work closely with mortgage fulfillment, compliance, risk, and audit teams to address findings and implement corrective actions
Serve as a subject matter expert on mortgage quality and compliance matters
Recommend and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices

Required

Proven experience in mortgage quality control, underwriting, or compliance within a banking or financial services environment

Experience leading and developing teams
High level attention to detail and proven organizational skills
