Systems Programmer/Specialist

Responsibilities
Perform specialized work in supporting information technology equipment and systems for the business, research, and instructional functions of customers
Be a web applications developer for the Connected Health Applications and Interventions (CHAI) Core
Develop and maintain web solutions to support research projects and academic programs
Responsible for application and framework development of interactive web systems
Develop projects from early requirements gathering through testing and deployment
Write software code to specification within standard browser technologies (Laravel, SQL, JSON, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Test code according to guidelines, manage version control, and document all work
Provide stable, complex, and secure code independently
Develop code that is cross-browser compatible for desktop, tablet, and mobile phone experiences
Develop with an intent for modular component reuse
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in operations analysis and design, systems programming, or closely related area
Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience in operations analysis and design, systems programming or closely related area
Associate's degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, or Networking Technology from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of experience in operations analysis and design, systems programming, or closely related area
An equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to write software code to specification within standard browser technologies (Laravel, SQL, JSON, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Ability to test code according to guidelines
Ability to manage version control
Ability to document all work
Ability to provide stable, complex, and secure code independently
Ability to develop code that is cross-browser compatible for desktop, tablet, and mobile phone experiences
Ability to develop with an intent for modular component reuse
