Risk Management Coordinator, Administrative Services [R0150580]
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is seeking a Risk Management Coordinator to administer property and auto damage claims while supporting the General Counsel and the Attorney General's office. The role involves managing insurance processes and collaborating with various departments to ensure effective risk management and claims administration.

Responsibilities
Administering property and auto damage claims, including third-party subrogation, while providing support to the General Counsel and the Attorney General's office in investigating third-party liability claims
Working with our property insurance brokers with various requests and inquiries
Working with our insurance brokers with compiling and inputting insurance renewal data across various lines of coverage for annual renewals
Managing and updating the auto fleet insurance schedule for both UNLV and Nevada State University
Generating loss runs and other reports as assigned
Serving as a backup for the Risk Management and Insurance Administrator as required and ultimately reporting to The Risk Manager
Assisting Business Center South (BCS) in various capacities
Coordinating and managing programs related to property, auto, workers' compensation, risk management, insurance, and claims for BCS institutions
Collaborating with the Third-Party Administrator (TPA) to resolve workers' compensation claims and acting as a point of contact between the TPA and BCS staff
Organizing return-to-work and leave buyback initiatives within the scope of workers' compensation guidelines
Collecting necessary claim information for property, auto, liability, and workers' compensation claims by liaising with relevant parties for effective administration
Interfacing and collaborating with other RMS units with identifying cost containment and risk management strategies pertaining to property loss and workers' compensation
Fulfilling additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
1-2 years of relevant Insurance claims and risk management industry experience
Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date
In lieu of a bachelor's degree, applicants may qualify with four additional years of relevant experience, or with an associate's degree plus two additional years of relevant experience
Cover letter, resume, and three professional references
Preferred
Experience in property and casualty insurance claims adjusting and subrogation recovery
Familiar with Nevada workers' compensation claims intake and adjusting
Experience in vehicle insurance fleet management
Able to compile loss runs, organize claims and incident data
Familiar with property-casualty and workers' compensation insurance concepts and terminology
