Application Development Intern
Polk County BoCC is seeking a motivated Application Development Intern to join their Information Technology Division. In this role, you will gain real-world software engineering and full-stack development experience by collaborating with senior developers to implement scalable web applications.

Responsibilities
Developing web applications (coding, programming)
Debugging and testing code
Writing technical documentation
Researching, investigating, and fixing a wide range of technical issues
Collaborating with senior developers
Participating in code reviews and Scrum meetings
Approaching problems and creating solutions
Proactively learning about new technologies
Qualification
Required
Must have the physical, developmental, and mental ability to perform job tasks, work efforts, responsibilities, and duties of the job illustrated below
Proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript
Proficiency with React and familiarity or interest in Next.js
Proficiency with CSS and familiarity or interest in Tailwind CSS
Proficiency with SQL and familiarity with MySQL, Postgres, or MSSQL
Experience with Git and GitHub
Strong communication and presentation skills
Self-motivated and results-oriented
Strong problem-solving skills
Highly developed analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work in a team environment
College student with focus in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Full-stack Development, or related area
