Responsibilities
Support the implementation of a UR robot into a production application
Attend UR robot training at Ralph W. Earl during the first 1–2 weeks of the internship
Assist with testing and process development to qualify the UR robot solution in production
Shadow a Lean Conversion (LC) or Standard Work (SW) event
Qualification
Required
Students pursuing a bachelor's degree in one of the following (or similar) fields: Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Any related engineering or technical discipline
Ability to walk the site, perform inspections, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting with appropriate PPE provided
Preferred
Interest in robotics, automation, or hands‑on engineering projects
Willingness to be hands‑on in a production environment and observe processes directly
Basic familiarity with programming or robotics concepts
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
