Responsibilities
Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning
As a network engineer on our team, you’ll use your skills in network design and architecture to help support the nation’s defense and respond to evolving adversaries
You’ll develop enterprise-wide infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems
You’ll apply your knowledge in network architecture as you join our team of problem-solvers to help modernize our mission critical infrastructure
Using your experience in Cisco hardware, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects
Using your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you’ll make an impact on national security missions
Qualification
Required
8+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role
Experience with network protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, or VPN
Experience with configuring and managing network devices
Experience with network topologies, including LAN, WAN, and cloud networks
Experience with network performance analysis and troubleshooting techniques
Knowledge of network security best practices, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and encryption technologies
Knowledge of network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, or Nagios
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
HS Diploma or GED
Preferred
15+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role
Bachelor's degree
Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA Network+, or similar
