Responsibilities

Provide assistance to Public Works engineering team for delivering design (PS&E) and Construction Management (CM) services
Offer support to senior engineers by utilizing AutoCAD Civil3D and understanding plan interpretations
Provide project support by assisting in drafting documents, engineer's opinion of probable costs, project schedules, and utility computations
Conduct on-site field inspections of municipal construction projects
Interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents to support contractor compliance
Assist with construction contract administration by drafting, reviewing, and completing meeting minutes, bid tabulations, pay estimates, force account, field note records, as-built plan redlines, and other related deliverables
Communicate with the Project Manager and Team Leader on workload status to meet designated chargeability goals

Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University
Strong verbal and written communication, organization, interpersonal, and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft 365
Proven ability to work well both within a team and independently
Must have reliable transportation and flexible schedule to work contractor hours including night work (if required)

Preferred

Entry-level experience with AutoCAD and Bluebeam software is highly preferred
Previous construction/inspection experience and jobsite safety training is a plus
