Technical Supply Chain Planning Analyst
Programming.com is seeking a Technical Supply Chain Planning Analyst who combines strong data engineering skills with deep supply chain planning expertise. This role focuses on supporting supply planning decisions through data analysis and modeling, while ensuring effective inventory and capacity planning.

Responsibilities
Build and maintain complex SQL queries to combine data from multiple sources, including purchase orders, inventory levels, lead times, and demand forecasts
Create clean, analysis-ready datasets that support planning models and executive reporting
Design scalable Excel / Google Sheets models using advanced formulas (Index/Match, XLOOKUP), Pivot Tables, and structured data layouts
Use tools such as Power Query or Apps Script to handle large datasets without performance issues
Develop what-if scenario models to evaluate lead-time variability, demand changes, and supply risk
Analyze supply coverage and identify potential stock-out risks under different planning assumptions
Support S&OP activities by translating demand forecasts into actionable supply plans
Apply safety stock logic and inventory planning best practices across regions and SKUs
Build aggregate, macro-level views of inventory with the ability to drill down by location, data center, or SKU
Support planning for high-value, long-lead-time hardware components
Analyze capacity constraints and their impact on deployment timelines
Create Supply Coverage dashboards (e.g., Weeks of Cover vs. forecasted burn)
Develop Lead Time Impact models showing how delays affect deployment and availability
Build location-level views to segment supply by region or data center
Qualification
Required
Advanced SQL (multi-table joins, aggregations, data transformation)
Expert-level Excel or Google Sheets skills, including complex formulas, Pivot Tables, and large-dataset optimization
Strong data modeling skills with experience building scenario-based and what-if analyses
Solid understanding of Supply Chain Planning concepts (S&OP, demand forecasting, safety stock)
Hands-on experience with inventory management and supply coverage analysis
Exposure to capacity planning, preferably for hardware or infrastructure with long lead times
Preferred
Experience supporting data center, hardware, or infrastructure supply chains
Familiarity with dashboarding or visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.)
Experience working closely with operations, procurement, and deployment teams
