Electrical Design Engineer 1615549
Entegee is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background in switchgear design to support engineering, production, and R&D initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing electrical approval drawings, revising packages based on feedback, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities
Develop electrical approval drawings, including single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, control schematics, and bills of material (BOMs)
Revise approval packages based on internal design reviews and customer feedback
Prepare and release electrical manufacturing drawings (wiring diagrams, interconnection diagrams, BOMs) to production and purchasing
Ensure timely release of drawings and material orders to support production schedules
Support factory floor activities related to component mounting, assembly, and wiring
Provide technical support to sales teams and distributors to support customer requirements
Participate in R&D projects and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate documentation and revision control for all electrical design files
Collaborate closely with Mechanical Engineers to ensure proper electrical-mechanical integration
Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, customer specifications, and manufacturing capabilities
Communicate effectively across engineering, production, purchasing, and sales teams
Qualification
Required
U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
Hands-on experience from a switchgear manufacturer
Strong AutoCAD 2D proficiency
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, production, and sales teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Design of single-phase, three-phase, and DC protection and control circuits
Component selection for protection, metering, and control (breakers, relays, protection devices)
Understanding of breaker selection, cable sizing, and application requirements
Application of power distribution and control schemes for switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, electrical control panels, and power distribution systems
Creation of electrical schematics, control wiring plans, interconnection diagrams, and cable schedules
Understanding of relay logic; PLC exposure is a plus
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (AutoCAD Electrical is a plus)
Strong working knowledge of low-voltage electrical design, preferably in power distribution or switchgear manufacturing
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of independent work with minimal supervision
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply proven solutions to new challenges
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications
Minimum 2 years of experience with a switchgear manufacturer
3+ years of electrical design experience in a manufacturing or construction environment
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution with 2–4 years of relevant experience OR Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical manufacturing or construction
Preferred
Working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, ANSI, and UL standards
Exposure to ERP-integrated design environments
