The intern will work alongside experienced engineers on municipal projects, utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D for design and analysis, and preparing construction plans and specifications for various infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities
Opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on municipal projects serving the St. Cloud area
Use of AutoCAD Civil 3D for analysis and design of roadways, trails, sidewalks, water main, sanitary and storm sewer systems and site improvements
Use of Microsoft Excel for development of project bid item tables, quantities and cost opinions
Prepare construction plans and specifications, site plans, grading and drainage plans, studies and reports for a wide range of public and private infrastructure systems
The position may serve as a Field Engineer and assist on-site inspectors during construction of various projects
Manage work activities and team responsibilities and report to supervisor and team members on status of project tasks
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a 2‑ or 4‑year degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Zero (0) to Three (3) years of experience in the Civil Engineering field
Previous experience or training with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Previous experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word)
Previous Civil Engineering or construction experience including internships
Ability to read, comprehend and interpret engineering plans and topographic maps
