Clinical Research Study Assistant II (PRN) - Cardiology

The role involves recruiting study participants, collecting and documenting clinical research data, and performing various assessments as required by the study protocol.

Responsibilities

Participates in the recruitment of study participants as identified in related protocol; visits with study participants to explain study, obtains informed consent of participants, and completes screening procedures per protocol
Completes all necessary paperwork/documentation according to study protocol; obtains consent, interviews study subjects and schedules follow-ups as needed
Performs assessments; explains and schedules laboratory and diagnostic procedures and/or treatment as required in the study; refers participants to basic resources as necessary
Collects data from study participants, medical records, interviews, questionnaires, diagnostic tests and other sources; performs basic evaluation and interpretation of collected data and prepares appropriate reports and documentation as necessary; prepares and distributes study packets and information
Performs phlebotomy, collects other samples (e.g., urine, etc.), and completes other testing in accordance with study guidelines. Delivers study samples to lab for testing. Processes samples according to study protocol
Monitors and orders supplies necessary for study
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience
Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date
Basic Life Support certification (Online Basic Life Support certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the Basic Life Support requirements)
