Business Development Representative
DL Cabinetry is a leading manufacturer of high-quality cabinets, seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Sales Representative to expand their presence in the new construction market. The role involves building relationships with home builders and professionals, driving business growth through strategic sales and client relationship development.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to break into new markets
Identify and connect with professionals such as contractors, kitchen designers, builders, and purchasing agents
Maintain strong relationships with current clients while pursuing new business opportunities
Utilize tools for lead generation (provided) and stay informed on market trends
Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry meetings to expand the client base
Develop customized sales strategies for professionals handling a variety of project sizes
Work collaboratively with clients to understand their cabinetry needs and present tailored solutions
Create and deliver compelling proposals tailored to builder needs, focusing on value and long-term partnerships
Maintain accurate sales reports and forecasts to contribute to company goals
Engage with purchasing agents, builders, and VPs of Construction to establish DL Cabinetry as a reliable partner for large-scale projects
Identify builders constructing 50-100 homes per year as key targets for long-term partnerships
Focus on markets outside of our retail store reach
Maintain a deep understanding of DL Cabinetry’s product lines to effectively advise clients
Deliver presentations and provide training on product features and benefits
Promote DL Cabinetry’s products, showcasing their superior quality and customization options
Stay informed about industry trends, market changes, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge
Qualification
Required
2–5 years of experience in cabinetry sales recommended
Proven track record of sales success and client relationship management
Experience in working with small businesses and independent contractors; connections in the new home construction sector are a strong advantage
Existing contacts in the new construction building industry are highly desirable
Strong knowledge of cabinetry materials, construction processes, and industry trends
Ability to leverage lead generation tools such as Zonda Metro Study effectively
Sales-driven mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales tracking tools
High school or equivalent (Required)
Outside Sales: 2 years (Required)
