Responsibilities
Categorizes watercraft coming through stations, inspects and assesses risk for each type of watercraft, determines which need to be decontaminated immediately on-site, and which can be directed elsewhere or held and decontaminated later
Performs decontaminations on various types of watercrafts using hot water decontamination units, including removing drain plugs, draining and drying compartments and flushing boat motors
Provides information to the public on the importance of watercraft decontamination in controlling aquatic invasive species
Directs boaters to other decontamination stations
Tracks data and maintains records
Assists with the daily installation and removal of the decontamination station including placement of roadway signs, activation of electronic reader boards, and set up of traffic cones, shelter, and other gear
Qualification
Required
High school graduation or GED
No experience required
A valid Montana driver's license
