Electronic Maintenance Engineer

V2X Inc is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace. They are seeking an Electronics Maintenance Technician responsible for testing, repairing, and ensuring the quality of electronic systems and components, as well as conducting site surveys for equipment installation.

Responsibilities

Inventory all systems as they are received
Conduct full physical/visual inspections of all system components to ensure that systems complete IAW standards
Conduct functional checks of system operating hardware/software to identify and correct any deficiencies or system faults found to ensure the systems are ready for deployment
Performs the installation and testing of software releases, and system upgrades and perform Burn-In of sensor equipment to ensure full operability IAW with OEM specifications, and interfaces with OEMs on unusual system anomalies
Must have knowledge of and experience in the utilization of operating systems and database management systems
Must have a substantial background in communications and communications connectivity
Perform repairs based on results from troubleshooting. If equipment cannot be repaired, request disposition
Capture equipment status (disposition and condition code) in Combined Operation Logistics Tracking System (COLTS) Database
Interact with engineering during the integration of products and software
Provide identification of any functional issues and provide recommended solutions
Upon successful testing, attach proper documentation to components (DD 1574-1 Serviceable Tag)
Perform Preventative Maintenance checks and services in accordance with Government requirements and OEM documentation as part of COSIS
Record equipment status information and data to reflect current FMC, PMC and NMC status for tested equipment into RCLS
Update COLTS as needed for open issues, requested parts, installed parts, parts tests, item locations, and serial number data
Troubleshoots fiber optic cabling and electrical wiring
Conduct site surveys are locations for new equipment installations

Required

Applicable logistics and/or transportation experience related to military or Government contract work
Experience interacting with vendors and government customers
Ability to interpret drawings, wiring and block diagrams
Experience troubleshooting and replacing Line Replaceable Units (LRU)
Able to test electronic system wiring and fiber optics cabling utilizing wiring diagrams and associated drawings
Experienced in the operation and theory of Electro-Optical / Infrared (EO/IR) camera systems operation
Ability to work under limited supervision with strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to multitask, prioritize work, and be adaptive to change
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
Experience with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Must be forklift certified or able to pass a certification test for the operation of a forklift
Experience with material control or freight management database systems
Able to operate manual material handling equipment, pallet jack, push carts, etc
Must be able to withstand physical demands of a warehouse environment: seasonal hot/cold temperatures, bending, squatting, lifting/carrying up to 40 pounds, and standing for long periods of time
BS/BA related to this job description, combination of experience, training and education may be considered in lieu of degree

Preferred

Experience with the Combined Operation Logistics Tracking System (COLTS) Database
Knowledge of RAID Tower system hardware and components
Experience installing and maintaining RAID Tower systems
Experience with EO/IR camera operation
Experience operating software-based systems utilizing Graphic User Interfaces
Import/Export (EXIM) compliance experience
Working knowledge of SAP or Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF)
Experience with military transportation & logistics, MILAIR, USTRANSCOM, etc
Experience configuring military 463L pallets for MILAIR shipments, aircraft load team member
Familiarity with DOD logistic practices and forms, DD250, DD1348, DD1149, etc
Familiarity with operating 2K and 5K Tactical Quiet Generators (TQG)
Experience conducting site surveys for program equipment
10+ years of electrical and cable installation planning
