Network Administrator

The Intersect Group is seeking a skilled Network Administrator who will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructures across multiple locations. This individual will ensure high availability, security, and performance of network services that support day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

Design and implement new network solutions while enhancing the efficiency of existing environments
Install, configure, and support routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and related network hardware
Configure and maintain firewalls, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and access controls
Monitor network performance, identify issues proactively, and perform root‑cause analysis
Plan and execute scheduled network upgrades and firmware updates
Investigate and resolve network faults to minimize downtime
Create and maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams and IP inventories
Travel to remote locations (10–25%) for installations, upgrades, and site relocations

Required

3+ years of experience supporting enterprise networks, including LAN/WAN environments
Hands‑on experience with HPE Aruba, Palo Alto, Cisco Meraki, and Cisco Catalyst/Nexus platforms
Strong understanding of virtualization networking (VMware), storage networking (NFS/iSCSI/FibreChannel), and SD‑WAN technologies
Familiarity with NAC, cloud security platforms (Z‑Scaler), SIEM tools, and syslog‑based troubleshooting
Proficiency with network monitoring tools (SNMP, NetFlow, SolarWinds) and ITIL‑based incident management (ServiceNow)
Ability to rack/stack equipment, work in datacenter environments, and support fiber/copper infrastructure
Excellent communication, documentation, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in an IT‑related field and/or relevant technical certifications preferred
