Responsibilities
Utilizes system modeling and data analysis to simulate, optimize, and assess gas distribution network performance and operating parameters
Maintains accurate records of distribution assets, construction activities, and maintenance history for operational and audit purposes
Conducts root cause analyses of incidents and system failures to enhance safety and prevent recurrence
Reviews and verifies the accuracy of leak investigations, survey maps, and maintenance documentation
Ensures compliance with government regulations, safety standards, and internal policies across all projects and operations
Assists in monitoring system pressure, leak history, and other performance indicators to support informed decision-making
Engages in public outreach to promote gas safety awareness and emergency preparedness
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Provides technical support and engineering guidance for the design, construction, inspection, and maintenance of the natural gas distribution pipeline network
Responsibilities include materials selection, network condition assessment, system planning, and hydraulic modeling
Supports evaluation of technical system impacts and provides procedural and operational guidance to field personnel
Develops and maintains operating procedures for both planned and unplanned activities affecting the gas distribution system
Frequently partners with field construction and maintenance teams to ensure work is performed safely and in full compliance with applicable federal and state codes, standards, and regulations
