Responsibilities
Execute and oversee monthly cycle counts
Investigate quantity and location variances between system records and physical stock, resolving issues through root-cause analysis
Prepare and review monthly financial reports, including analysis of stock-on-hand, valuation and obsolescence provisions
Develop and implement standard operating procedures as we transition into our parent company’s accounting software
Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for inventory valuation and coordinate with external auditors
Manage and oversee the work of 2 assistant inventory controllers
Qualification
Required
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
2-5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or accounting within a manufacturing or retail environment
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel
Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to communicate technical data to non-financial stakeholders
