Quality Assurance - NDT Technician 1st shift

Responsibilities

Aligns castings on Laue unit
Processes casting in accordance with approved Laue techniques
Verifies grain structures are acceptable to required techniques
Monitors working area to protect personnel
Performs daily equipment preparation and radiation safety inspections

Required

Laue Level I and II Certification must be obtained to perform this function
High school diploma, general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to apply concepts of basic arithmetic and geometry
Ability to interpret drawings
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Must pass near vision-JAEGER Type No. 1 test and Color Perception test
Must be able to maintain certification with periodic testing per industry standards
The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
The employee is frequently required to stand and talk or hear
The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit and squat, kneel, or crouch
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision
Due to government regulation only US persons (U.S. citizen, U.S. naturalized citizen, U.S. permanent resident, holder of U.S. approved political asylee or refugee status) may be considered for this role
