IT Assistant - Office Specialist (Extra Help, Seasonal)
The County of San Mateo is seeking full-time, seasonal IT Assistants to assist in the upcoming Statewide Direct Primary Election. The role involves providing tech support and troubleshooting for various equipment used at Vote Centers during the election period.

Responsibilities
Assist with office tech support
Perform basic PC/printer/monitor troubleshooting
Schedule site visits at fifty (50) Vote Center sites with County network engineers
Bring networking hardware to site
Test facility network connectivity at site
Record data into excel spreadsheets from tests conducted by the network engineers
Assist with Vote Center tech support
Functionally test equipment used at Vote Centers (iPads, wireless printers, WIFI printers, etc.)
Visit Vote Centers and report connection issues
Qualification
Required
Previous experience providing basic PC/tech troubleshooting support
Preferred
Knowledge and use of iPads and iPhones
Basic understanding of Wi-Fi networking
Basic understanding of hardware setup
Basic understanding of software installation
Ability to troubleshoot issues with system configurations
Well-organized/detail oriented
Ability to explain issues clearly and follow instructions to meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills (written/verbal)
