Responsibilities

Collaborate with SDS III and Program Manager on the administration of Fish Camp (program). Duties include, but are not limited to, developing effective policies and processes, logistics and operations oversight including budgeting, facilities, vendor relationships, contracts, student travel, technological resources, inventory management, and document review
Serve as a co-advisor of Fish Camp (student organization) directors, chairs, and counselors in duties including, but not limited to, risk management activities, training and advising for users of services including curriculum design, programming of events, project management, evaluation of effectiveness of programs, and significant direction and decision-making responsibility. Duties include advising students and participants in programs or events, and maintaining relationships with external partners, including former students, related to areas of responsibility. Advising may include, but is not limited to, leadership development, recruitment and retention, adherence to policies and procedures including judicial processes, and identifying fundraising resources
Coordinate one of the EO programs and experiences for incoming students at level to be determined by the Department of Student Activities. Programs may include Venture Camps, Traditions Night, or other programs coordinated within the area. Duties include, but are not limited to, risk management activities, recruitment of student and staff volunteers, marketing to incoming students, management of the registration system, project management, evaluation of effectiveness of programs, and significant direction and decision-making responsibility
Coordinate and implement curriculum for one of the EO programs. Duties include, but are not limited to, developing the training materials for student and staff volunteers, coordinating program operations and logistics, and developing the curriculum for program participants
Provide Support to Program Manager in the development and facilitation of EO Curriculum programming. Duties may include but are not limited to leadership development, training and development, and curriculum development
Responsible for the recruiting, hiring, and occasional supervision of practicum students, student workers, and interns
Participate on university, division, and/or department committees and task forces

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Three years' relevant experience in student affairs work or related specialty area

Preferred

Master's degree in student affairs, higher education or related field
Two or more years post-graduate experience in higher education, student affairs, or specific area(s) described in this position description
Significant student group advising, leadership training, and experience in the specific area(s) described in this position description
