HR & Communications Intern (May-Aug 2026)
CRH is a leading construction company and building materials supplier in North America. They are offering a Summer Internship for college students to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources and Communications, working closely with professionals in the field and participating in various HR and communication tasks.

Responsibilities
Assist with recruitment activities: format and update job descriptions
Review Recruitment postings and materials and partnering with Region Recruiters
Support HR projects as assigned, including project formatting and categorizing team channels
Review our safety PPE (physical performance evaluations) requirements and update job descriptions and work with our 3rd party to standardize our testing requirements
Support Learning & Development Manager with new initiatives and programs
Draft, edit, and proofread content for internal and external communications (including newsletters, website copy, social media posts, and employee-facing app updates) ensuring alignment with brand voice and standards
Assist in development of presentations, flyers, signage, promotional materials, and other communication assets for business leaders and internal stakeholders
Attend video and photo shoots to assist with logistics, shot lists, interviews, and behind-the-scenes support for internal communications
Assist in managing the company’s social media presence: drafting posts, scheduling content, monitoring engagement, and helping develop and execute new campaign ideas across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
Compile reports on social media performance, analyzing metrics and identifying opportunities to improve reach and engagement
Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and all employees
Ability to work independently or with little supervision
Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required
Adherence to Texas Materials policies and procedures as outlined in the Texas Region Employee Handbook
Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in HR, Business, Communications or related field
Strong interest in Human Resources or Communications
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
High level of attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and professionalism
Reliable, proactive and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
Strong computer skills are required
Analytical and problem-solving skills are required
Ability to express and communicate verbally
Proficiency / ability to learn Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro)
