Senior Information Technology Project Manager

Responsibilities
Planning, organizing, and managing complex IT projects and business analysis tasks
Providing independent oversight and project management for IT initiatives
Developing and executing strategies aligned with state policies, industry’s best practices, and CCHCS’s vision, goals, and objectives
Leading and coordinating activities essential to managing IT projects, including project scheduling and system development
Preparing formal reports and documentation for oversight agencies such as the California Department of Finance and the California Department of Technology (CDT)
Developing and supporting activities related to the Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) deliverables, Special Project Reports (SPR), Post Implementation Evaluation Reports (PIER), and Financial Analysis Worksheets (FAWs)
Upholding strict confidentiality regarding information obtained during duties and demonstrating ethical conduct
Collaborating effectively with team members and stakeholders
Traveling to institutions and providing after-hours support for CCHCS software applications and systems as required

Under the general direction of the Information Technology (IT) Manager I, the IT Specialist II (ITS II) serves as a Senior IT Project Manager, taking on a leadership role in planning, organizing, and managing complex IT projects and business analysis tasks
The ITS II operates at an expert level, providing independent oversight and project management for IT initiatives
This includes developing and executing strategies aligned with state policies, industry's best practices, and CCHCS's vision, goals, and objectives
The ITS II is responsible for leading and coordinating activities essential to managing IT projects, including project scheduling, system development, and adherence to established methodologies
Key duties include preparing formal reports and documentation for oversight agencies such as the California Department of Finance and the California Department of Technology (CDT)
The ITS II also plays a critical role in developing and supporting activities related to the Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) deliverables, Special Project Reports (SPR), Post Implementation Evaluation Reports (PIER), and Financial Analysis Worksheets (FAWs)
The incumbent must uphold strict confidentiality regarding information obtained during their duties, demonstrate ethical conduct, and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
Travel to institutions and after-hours support for CCHCS software applications and systems may be required to meet operational needs
