Responsibilities

Direct management of 6+ test engineers
Training and expansion of skillsets of staff
Ownership of scheduling and conflict resolution of test activities within the laboratory
Oversight of equipment maintenance & calibration
Ownership of controlled documentation for laboratory-related activities
Ownership of laboratory-related process improvements
Capital project support and execution
Management of procurement activities for laboratory environment
Management of the intake of consumables and the safe handling of waste products

Required

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 8 years of relevant engineering experience; OR a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline with 6 years of relevant engineering experience
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams
This role requires materials engineering/science background or a related discipline with an emphasis on materials engineering/science is required for this role
A strong knowledge of industry testing standards and common practices related to mechanical testing, metallurgical analyses, chemical laboratory processes, industrial equipment use and safe operation, and the safe handling of non-radioactive hazardous materials is required for this role
US Citizenship required
Active Secret clearance required
