The Electrical Apprentice Intern will work under the direction of the Electrical Lead to assist in the installation, repair, and testing of electrical systems in the production of modular buildings.

Responsibilities
Works with Licensed Electrician to learn to assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools
Works with Licensed Electrician to learn to inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
Works with Licensed Electrician to learn to read plans, layout and install electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications, blueprints, and local codes
Works with Licensed Electrician to learn to inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization
Cross-trains and uses additional trade skills in multiple stages of the manufacturing process as assigned
Follows established safety and security regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area and environment
Qualification
Required
Familiarity with basic electrical concepts (voltage, current, circuits)
Willingness to learn and follow standard electrical codes and safety procedures
Ability to use hand tools and power tools
Basic computer skills
Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring
Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits
Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling
Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination
The worker is frequently required to operate machinery and/or power tools. Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions. Activities occur inside and outside
