Mid LevelTriune Infomatics Inc is seeking an experienced PeopleSoft HCM Payroll Developer with strong COBOL expertise, specifically focused on customization and enhancement of Payroll COBOL processes. This role will support, maintain, and enhance PeopleSoft HCM applications in a complex public-sector environment, requiring close collaboration with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain custom Payroll COBOL programs within PeopleSoft HCM
Enhance and support PeopleSoft Payroll processing, including batch jobs, calculations, and validations
Analyze Payroll business requirements and translate them into technical COBOL-based customizations
Develop and maintain PeopleSoft technical components including COBOL, SQR, PeopleCode, Application Engine, and SQL
Troubleshoot and resolve Payroll production issues, including retro pay, deductions, benefits, and year-end processing
Support Payroll cycles, audits, regulatory updates, and system patches
Perform unit testing, support UAT, and assist with production deployments
Collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT teams, and county stakeholders to ensure system stability and compliance
Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on experience with PeopleSoft HCM Payroll
Proven expertise in COBOL development and customization for Payroll processes
Experience with PeopleCode, SQR, Application Engine, and SQL
Solid understanding of Payroll processing, batch scheduling, and integrations
Experience supporting and troubleshooting production Payroll systems
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred
Experience working in public sector, county, or government environments
Familiarity with Payroll compliance, audits, and regulatory updates
Experience supporting PeopleSoft upgrades, images, or PeopleTools upgrades
